Imperial CityAlquinas merely summons up more pillars of stone to deflect the lightning bolts. One strikes through his defense, and burns his arm, but he is otherwise unharmed. He is winded, though, his devotion to Cerrak proving weak in the Holiest city in the realm. "Ah, but you have committed violence first, Rowe! Article 23 of the pandemic prevention imperative also states that those who come into contact with the undead, whether peacefully or violently, are to be purged! If you enforced that fairly, your greatest holy warriors would be slain just as I am being murdered! I have merely defended myself against your aggression!" Alquinas turns to the confused undead. "This false bishop wants to slay me for merely understanding you. He is a wolf in sheeps clothing. KILL HIM, in the name of the Pankrator!" The heretic bishop gives a sharp whistle, and the sound of the steel-toed boots of the missionaries of Cerrak soon joins the hobnailed noise of the Imperial soldiers. Cerrak to Hood Is that so? Hmmph. It is no matter. I told Umberto that I would crush a pretender, and so I shall. The Hoburg Statue will be eliminated. Then, Kristalin will fall.
Cerrak to Umberto I promise you Umberto, I will not seek peace with the glorified rock in Hoburg. It has no allies, and little defenses. An easy target. After that, I shall truly move on Kristalin, who I have already made an enemy of. I have no reason to seek peace with him.
Incidentally, there may be trouble in the capital. I sent Alquinas there, and I know that Rowe and his ilk would rather slaughter my "heretic" bishop then see him become Primarch. We may have to march on the very Imperial City.
odin I assume having Alquinas survive for a bit longer isn't a problem?

To Umberto A package arrives by messanger adressed to Umberto. Inside are a small glass orb and a note. The note says Greetings Umberto,
I hope life is treating you well. Contained alongside this letter is a glass orb. Do not use magic on it! It contains a very delicate spell that will force the person it is cast upon to answer one question truthfully. If any sort of spell is cast on the orb or the weilder of the orb it will shatter and the spell will be lost. To activate the orb press it into the flesh of the individual and say "I can handle the truth" and the spell will be cast. Another warning is that this spell is unlikely to work on a Pretender. After using the orb once it will be nothing more then a pretty decoration.
Best of luck,
Kristialin the Black
Kristialin To Hood Well if the information also includes the mechanics of how the undead were created then I would be very intreasted in purchasing it from you. Kristialin To Hoburg If necessary I would be willing to help your people evacuate to safety

Ah, sadly I will not give you that information. I am not fond of necromancy, and will not teach anyone to use it. It is an abomination and insult to Death.

Kristialin to Hood Fair enough, how about just the way to destroy any undead formed in such a manner? Kristialin to Cerrak Sorry to hear that you think of me as your enemy. I understand that we've had our differences but I didn't belive they went this far.

Kristialin to Hood I'm not sure what I have to offer. Perhaps my mages can help you on some project?

Cerrak to Kristalin Quite honestly, I'm running out of possible targets, and you are the most convenient one, showing up around the Primarch's death like that. Umberto already hates you; so unless you can get me a better deal, with something concrete, I'll be forced to fight you.
Nothing personal, you see, I just have so many alliances that you're the odd man (or dragon) out.

Imperial CityA group of rather shifty-looking men in dark robes watch the confrontation from an alley. After conferring for a moment, they begin muttering a chant in unison. odinOur necromancers in the Imperial City will try to push the undead involved in the confrontation to consider Alquinas legitimate and attack Rowe. Nazhedria to the Hag Thank you. You will not regret it. Metal for wood, then. Nazhedria to the Hood You recently asked if I wanted anyone to disappear.
C'tis priest-kings. As many of them as you can. They're certainly not easy targets, but I can help arm your agents and will pay them well.
Also, I have been informed that our magic is apparently weakening the boundary between life and death. This is obviously a matter of some concern to you, and I wish you'd told us about it beforehand. Is there something we can do to reduce the impact?

Kristialin to C'tis Some news for you great one. Nazhedria is hiring assassins to go after your priest-kings. Kristialin to Cerrak Fair enough but what about Jouppon? I wasn't aware of any connection between you and him.

Cerrak to Kristalin Too far away. My friendship with Umberto (and his remarkably large armies) is tenous at the moment, and I need a foe to immediately crush to make sure the Imperial armies stay on my side. It took me a long time to get to even the Howling Pits and the Shapers. Jouppon is simply not an effective target. Hmmm... If you provide me with powerful shock troops, I might be able to smash a rival power close to you. It depends on who provides me with the most tantalizingly strong soldiers.
Cerrak to Ferra Might I buy a few golems from you? I'm having a bit of territoral ambition, and I need troops to send my foes screaming back into the Abyss.

Kristialin to Cerrak Well I might be able to help with transportation but I doubt I could help by providing troops. odin Could I put up anti-teleportation wards? If I can I would like to put up those wards around the priest-kings. The wards would just cause the spell to fail leaving the caster where they were before.

Cerrak to Kristalin Ah yes, you have teleport spells, don't you? If you share those with me, that would be most appreciated. And rewarded.

The Shona HagWe understand that you have some form of alliance with Cerrak. As you may be aware, he intends to destroy the village of Hoburg, and the Behemoth who protects them. We know that you have some kind of relationship with the protector of Hoburg, and that you don't wish to see him destroyed, so we thought this information would prove useful to you . To KristalinSurely you see now that Cerrak’s ambition will destroy you if left unchecked. Bargaining with him will only delay the inevitable. However, there is another way. His relationship with Umberto is weakening as he admits himself, and if Cerrak fails to destroy the Behemoth, it may crumble all together, severely weakening his position. Therefore, the best course of action is to save the Protector of Hoburg. If you make a personal appearance in the town, Cerrak may hesitate at the idea of challenging both you and the Behemoth. You were adept at finding a peaceful solution to the Wanderer’s conflict with C’tis, and if may be possible to find one here as well. We are prepared to send soldiers ourselves to defend the town, if it comes to that. It is imperative that Cerrak does not succeed in his quest for the destruction of the Behemoth. To the BehemothIf you are who you say you are, then we should be enemies by right. Fortunately for you, you and your servants continued survival is in our lord’s best interests. We are willing to send warriors and creatures from the Other Side to protect your little village from the Cyclops, with your permission of course. Think carefully before you refuse help, your people’s lives hang in the balance. To FerraHow far are you willing to go to serve your one-eyed master? Would you destroy a benevolent entity, a fellow being of stone, whose only crime is to protect a peaceful village, to satisfy a mad tyrant’s quest for power? We thought you were better then that. odinMy mages summon begin summoning a host of otherworldly creatures, and the rest of my the city makes preparations for a swift march to Hoburg.
In addition what’s the status on my research into using tears in the veil for travel in the material plane?
