Switzerland: OOC- Check the OOC thread. Puppy confirmed it IC- As always old friend we would welcome your aid. Currently however, it does not seem to be anything that requites your services. You can be confident however that, should this situation get out of our control, you will be the first ones we contact.

China to Switzerland the Imperial army s mighty enough for any tasks the Emperor require, we have no need of you services German states to Estor You've managed to dissuade them a little, although the Austrian are somewhat offended you refered to them as "foreign" France to Estor Unfourtunately, their colonial holdings are quite limited and they're unwilling t osell you algeria Egypt to Estor Ali Pasha finds this deal perfectly acceptable Banana noted, where? the East, North or what? Mexico to Ireland We are not yet in a state of war with the Northerners, but we would be willing to entertain any diplomatic proposals you had. Also, if you have any spare guns or artillery, we'd like tp purchase them. Scotland to Ireland They're extremely willing to help and would gladly sign an alliance Brazil to Argentina They're open to the idea of reduced trade barriers, although they want to know by how much Ottomans to Abyssinia They're interested, but they'd want at least the Mediterranean coast and the Nile Delta for themselves. Singapore noted, just remember to put it in your EOT as well Egypt to Switzerland sorry, forgot to mention this in the PM, but the Egyptians would like to take up your offer France to Sweden They understand the situation, and would be willing to give some backing as long as their sphere of influence (non-Prussian Germany north of Bavaria essentially) is recognized. How direct the backing depends on the situation and how decisive the move is. Russia "We are of course strong proponents of peace and stability, but it is for that exact reason why the Czar must maintain his commitment to long-term legitimacy and stability, regardless of what the current status-quo is" Austria They would be willing to provide assistance, on the one condition that Pomerania is given the autonomy that is its due as a member of the German confederation (which is currently under Austrian Presidency). a non-integrated duchy in personal union with sweden, or something similar Ongoing crisis'sTo the BEIC (although anyone can read it) Although your company is indeed noted for its respect of the power of sovereigns (as the Rajahs of India can attest, I'm sure), my mandate is to seize all opium in the city and stop its sale. Until this is complied with, no compromise will be considered.
As the merchants of Canton have so far prove reticent in turning over their banned wares, I have no choice but to seal Canton until His Imperial Highness' orders are complied with.
Furthermore, I must reject in the strongest terms any possibility of granting foreign merchants any advantage over Chinese subjects in the law. If a law in commuted in the Empire, then it falls under the jurisdiction of the Emperor.
Ling Zexu Governor of Canton.
After the letter was sent several warships and several thousand troops sealed the channel leading into Canton, effectively trapping the traders in the city. Meanwhile, in Syria Egyptian forces are enjoying more success, as Ali as managed to bring the majority of the local tribes around to his side, making his supply chain a lot safer and giving him a new source of manpower. Troops are pushing into border provinces and even reaching Turkey proper is some cases.

Abyssinia to Ottomans: Quite frankly, that is the deal we can offer. We get egypt, you get syria. The alternative is getting devastated by the syrians/egyptians. We can also wait until the Ottomans and Syria weaken each other, then get european allies to do the same division.

Empire of Japan - ++++ Espionage Excellent. Perfect. We shall send our merchant ships immediately. Perfect. We shall send our merchant ships immediately. We thank you for your trade.
And we understand just how dangerous the BEIC can be. We do thank you for your warning, though, and wish you well in the Italian power conflict. Perfect. We shall send our merchant ships immediately. We thank you for your trade. It is much needed.
We do not enjoy the spreading power of the Europeans in our precious Asia. The China/BEIC conflict could be the precursor to a war. The question is how we should respond to such a war. Shall we support China, and perhaps end up with a much more dangerous Empire than the one they already have? Or perhaps the BEIC, and let them sink their claws into more Asian lands? What is your thoughts on the matter? Good. Russia is too big for their own good.

Brazil to Argentina They accept Ottomans to Abyssinia OOC: For the record, its just Egypt, they are occupying Syria
Anyway: The Ottomans refuse to give up all of Egypt, at the very least they want the Mediterranean coast.

To GM: How many does Pasha want to hire? Also, how would either party react to a a little double dealing? (No actual betrayal, simply taking money from both sides and helping both side, provided the Swiss don't have to actually shoot each other.) To Ling Zexu: The presence of an incorruptible force familiar with European traders might be a valuable asset. As the BEIC hires Indians to fight Indians, it may be wise to hire us to help maintain order.

Japan Of course. We are always looking for new trading partners. Argentina Of course. We are always looking for new trading partners. BEIC We see that you appear to have problems with a certain blockade. Can my Warships give assitence in any way? Ireland Greetings from the kingdom of Avalonia. We understand that you have also broken away from Britain. I believe it would be in both of our best interests to form a strong bond of friendship Mexico We can't help but notice that the people of Texas are giving you trouble. We assume that is what is causing the border disturbances. Perhaps you would prefer we take the area of your're hands?
We can buy it. Puppyavenger King Martin and his children continue to expand westword, scooping up as many resources as possible.
In the main colonies, industry and economy are to grow, as it is important that our wealth is as strong as our sword.
To the west, along the Texas border, Lianna's forces under the guise of mere border skirmishes, prod the defenses for weaknesses, and more ironclads are moved with easy striking distance- along the Gulf of Mexico.
ISA agents disguised as Texans are also to cross the border to encourage dissent among the still angry Texans and give more specifics on the military disposition.

Your fleet is supposed to be the strongest in the world. What would you charge for teaching our engineers how to construct such magnificent ships?

Esp +++- Japan Perhaps a general technological and military trade? We share all of each others advancements. Also, my ISA members could do with some outside training.
Hmmm- do you have any children Emperor? Or a wife? I have a daughter that is just the right age for marriage.

Ling Zexu to Swiss He's interested in having a force of mercenaries on retainer to keep the peace, provide him a bodyguard and give the city a better-armed garrison. He'd be willing to hire + of military to get over to Canton ASAP JJ just +, and double-dealing is kind of expected form you.
Mexico to Avalonia Surely your joking? Grey okay, just put it in your EOT.
besides the stuff about military positions, which is noted

Brass BaronyEspionage: ++- Brass Barony to Ottomans Great Sultan of the Ottoman Turks and of the Syrians,
The Brass Barony has heard of your troubles with Ali Pasha, and we have sympathy for the Empire. We offer you aid in the form of mechanical soldiers to fight for you Turks.
However, we bid you to note that your grand empire is crumbling before the might of the Egyptian advance. To preserve it, we would require concessions. After all, we have already received requests for aid to crush you once and for all from Ali Pasha.
In return for sending you a force of Estorian mercenaries as well as a regiment of Brassmen, we would desire free, untaxed passage through the Straits of Bosphorus, into the Black Sea.
We hope that this deal is acceptable. If not... We can take our services to Ali Pasha, after all.
Regards, Baron August von Estor of the Northwestern Germans.
Brass Barony to Abyssinia Make sure that we can transport goods and soldiers safely through the small part of Egypt, as well as providing ships to allow us to go beyond the Red Sea, and you have a deal with Estor, mighty Empress.
I have already sent a letter to the Ottoman Sultan regarding possible aid towards his empire.
Brass Barony to Sweden Your gift in our agreement will not be shared, of course. I concur that the action part of our agreement should be undergone as soon as possible. Shall we act now? We are ready for your signal, in any case.
Additionally, shall I contact the Swiss? Or will their services be not required?
