What does the world think of Bohemia? I tried to get a "everyone but their neighbors like them" vibe, but I'm just curious.

If it's not to late?
State of Israel Symbol: The Star of David. Usually on a white flag. Territory: Jerusalem and the surrounding area. History: It's been almost two hundred an fifty years since the mechanical genius Rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel constructed the Golem of Prague. While the golem successfully defended the Jews of Prague from persecution, Loew took the secrets of its construction, along with the golem itself to his grave.
That is until Loew's decedent Bezalel Loeb, deciphered on of Loew's unpublished treaties and began work on his own golem. Loeb's succeeded in recreating his ancestors feat. Soon there was not only a golem to protect the Jews of Prague again, but also golems in major Jewish settlements throughout Europe.
Unfortunately for Loeb, his dream of Jewish emancipation, was for not. Although thousands of Jews where now safe from gentile pogroms it didn't mean an end to discrimination and hatred. The golems themselves became lightning rods for antisemitism, many rulers tried to seize Loeb's creations so that they could recreate their own mechanical men.
After a near success by a power hungry Prussian baron, Loeb decided that enough was enough. He began installing a device in every golem's chest, that would cause the golem to explode if it were tampered with. He also began working on a more permanent solution to the problems of the Jewish people.
Gathering up all of his golems, he traveled to the court of Mahmud II, Sultan of the Ottoman Empire with a proposition. In exchange for the city of Jerusalam and a sovereign Jewish state, Loeb and a cadre of fellow rabbi would build an army of golems to aid the Empire's armies.
Mahmud II agreed and so the State of Israel was created. In exchange the mechanical armies of Isreal have helped to put down the first and second Greek Rebellions in 1821 and 1828, along with a whole slew of minor rebellions.
Now the city of Jerusalem has been reborn. It's a center of religious learning, Jewish and Islamic, and mechanical acumen. Great Academies push scientific advancement just as New Seminaries progress religious understanding.
The area is at peace, Jewish Rule so far has been fair and equitable. The only restriction on other faiths has been that you must be Jewish to hold political office, but even that isn't set in stone, as is evident by Alhazred's election, setting the precedent that it's fine to be "Jewish in name" for purposes of electability.
Unfortunately Isreal doesn't seem to be doing nearly so well on the World stage. As a client state of the Ottoman Empire, the Ottoman's get to dictate Isreali foreign policy. Many Isrealis wish to see Isreal sever it's ties with the Empire, a fact that hasn't escaped the notice of the new Sultan Abdülmecid.
Strengths; For it's size, the Israeli Military is massive, although when compared to other major powers it's merely average.
Where Isreal truly shines is in technological advancement. Steam powered golems march beside Israeli Soldiers and the highly trained war rabbi, all of whom are carrying the most advanced repeater rifles.
The Colleges of Jerusalem attract some of the most learned minds in the world from many fields.
The Israeli spy network is also fairly advanced. Agents working out of Jewish communities throughout Europe, the middle east and North America provide Israel with accurate and up to date information.
Weaknesses: Israel has very poor relations with a majority of the world. This is do to wide spread antisemitism along with being viewed as The Ottoman Empire's lap dog. Being associated with the heavy handed brutality of the Greek rebellion hasn't helped either.
While Jerusalem itself is thriving, it's only one city and doesn't have the economic clout of larger nations. One prosperous city simply can't compete with continent spanning superpowers.
V.I.P's: Bezalel Loeb- Bezalel Loeb is without a doubt one of the worlds most prominent Rabbi, along with being the president of the State of Israel. Despite being the countries commander and chief, he delegates almost all of his obligations so that he can have more time for studying the Torah and Talmud and tinkering in his workshop.
Topol Wolf- Also known as "Der Bär Jude" has been Loeb companion since the early of days. While not a particularly intelligent man, he is large and has acted as Loeb's body guards in since Loeb first recreated the Golem of Prague. Despite not having a good grasp of the Torah, Loeb often relies on Topol's more down to earth judgments to help guide his moral compass.
Ibrim Alhasred- The senator from the primarily Muslim community surrounding The Dome of the Rock. He is one of the few non-jewish senators, and often speaks on behalf of the Mulsim community not just his constituents. His election established the precedent of "Jewish in Name." in which a candidate that is endorsed by a local synagogue can run for office despite not being Jewish themselves.
Saul Lowenstien- An American born Jew, and a iron magnate, Saul recently sold his American holdings in order to relocate with his family to Israel. He now runs the iron works on the outskirts of the city and is often called in by the Isreali Senate to consult on economic matters and large building projects.

merci: speaking of which...
Republic of France
So, Nappy get smacked down as normal, Bourbons restored, etc. BUT, the Bourbons aren't deposed, and the Orleanists are crushed. So when the June uprising comes around, the government lacks mercantile support and the rioters seize Paris. As Spain's busy pacifying Italy, and Brittan and Austria have internal troubles, the short civil war is a clear republican victory.
The resulting regime is a bit..weird. Damm right Paris is fully democratic, (with a second commune acting as a local government (and potential replacement if the assembly screws up too much). The rest of the country... eh. Massively underrepresented compared to Pars, and only those rich enough to get to the capital can take their seat, but it mostly works.
currently hated by all neighbors

I fixed it. It doesn't seem as if spoilers within spoilers works on these forums. A small annoyance, but nothing that can't be worked around.

Yeah. I guess that in the end, you get what you payed for. Which, in our case, is nothing. At least now we know to steer clear of trying to do that.

If this is not full Name: The Light Beckons (Referred to as The Light by it's followers, or as the Order by others.)
Form of Government: Democratic Theocracy
Territory: Brazil, Venezuela, Columbia
History: The Light Beckons was formed in 1828, as revolution swept Argentina. The Order's leaders were originally exiles from all over the world, who met in the city of Rio De Janerio in the may of that year. This unpreceedented confrence resulted in the forming of the "Code", a set of revolutionary morals that act as the founding charter of the Order. They lay down principles of universal equality, respect for human life, a set of basic human rights, and democracy. It also stipulates the need for an organisation made up of entlightened people to educate humanity as a whole about the tenets of the Code. This organisation (later to become The Light Beckons) was to guide the entire world into a new era of tolerance. The movement has spread like wildfire, grabbing hold of the public imagination worldwide. In 1836, when Crown Prince Desari Travili inherited the throne of Brazil, he handed power over to The Light, to public jubilation. Later that year, the king of Columbia bowed to the demands of his palace guard, and followed suit. In 1838, a revolution in Venezuela with the stated objective of handing power over to The Light. When this revolution was brutally crushed by royalist troops, Santos Lerva (Speaker for the council) called a massive vote. Overwhelmingly, the citizens of The Light voted to ride to the rescue of the rebels. The first volunteers army crossed the border in november 1838, and crushed the last royalist resistance in the july of the next year.
Strengths:
-High Morale: The Light is treated with a devotion approaching fanaticism by it's followers, partially due to it's mastery of propaganda. -Widespread: The Order is everywhere.. It's followers can be found across the entire world. -Technologically advanced Military: The Sword (The elite military wing of the Order) are superbly well-equipped.
Weaknesses:
-Low civil tech level: The Light's followers are almost entirely uneducated, and the lands that The Order controls are still just about medieval in tech level. -Small Army: The Sword is tiny, espesially when compared to the size of the Order's population. While the Order could theretically call upon massive numbers of volunteers, equipment shortages make this impossible.
VIPs: -Desaro Travili: Desaro was the last of the line of Travili monarchs, handing power over to The Light in 1836. Recently, he has been elected governor of brazil, where he has gained international acclaim for his prowess at governance. -Santos Lerva: Santos is the current speaker for the council. This position means that he operates as the public face of The Light Beckons. -Jackson Redwood: Redwood is an english intellectual, -The Council
