I think saving your ex-masters is worth some brownie points Besides they're basically giant four armed dog people! What's not to like?

Plenty of purists among humans, though.

I believe we would have a high defensive espionage. The man who is in charge of the majority of secrets is a paranoid schizophrenic who kills people he THINKS may know something. Kind of discourages espionage.

Which would lead to a much less happy populace then you have now. Afterall people don't like it when they're getting killed for no reason.
As for the purists I was thinking of actrually making them a faction in their own right but I felt that they were too spread out and too unorginzied to be a full faction. They would be a factor but I think a seperate one from world opinon.

Good point I suppose. Though the Vultures are little more than humanoid animals.

If this is not full Name: (the) Pan-Oceanic Alliance (POA) (Colloquillaly known as the Alliance)
Form of Government: Democracy
Territory: Indonesia, Northern Australia, The Pacific Islands, Hawaii
Capital: Jakarta
History: The Alliance came into being in the chaos following the Impact, when the nations of the pacific had their governments crippled to a man. At the confrence of Jakarta, the nations formed The Pan-Oceanic Alliance, which at the time included the entirety of Austraila, New Zealand and Siam. However, in the years that followed, as the ice began to creep north, the Alliance evacuated it's personnel from both southern Austraila and New Zealand, abandoning the residents to their fate. Siam dropped out of the Alliance after this event. As it stands, the Alliance has its own redemtive vision through trade for the planet, beliving strongly that good will always come out of trade in the end.
Strengths: -The Navy: The POA's navy is superb, composed of dozens of relics from before the Impact, as well as their own designs. -Loyal: The citizens of the Alliance have seen their fortunes rise from substinince farming to the wealthiest in the world. Their loyalty is undeniable. -Wealth: The POA controls the seas between asia and america, and has grown exeedingly wealthy on trade. More than anything else, this is what the POA prides itself on.
Weaknesses: -Backward: Techwise, the POA has failed to get very far at all. -Small Population: Exactly what it says on the tin. The POA has a population that is a fraction of that of other nations. -Small Army: The POA's army consists entirely of special forces units and the home guard.
VIP's: -President Edward Holland: Holland was elected by a clear majority six months ago, and appears to be one of the more expansionist leaders that the Alliance has had. He has inititated a clear focus on the economy, strongly beliving it to be the key to restoring the world to its former prosperity.
